  TECHMarket Communications was chartered with launching Bluestone Software, a thought leader in Internet infrastructure and wireless technologies, in preparation for an IPO within 18 months. The hot emerging application server market was fiercely competitive with early contenders like Kiva and NetDynamics, and established players, like BEA, IBM, and Sun. The first month was spent ramping up on the technology, identifying opportunities, planning out the launch strategy and fine-tuning pitches. Prior to the IPO, we took Bluestone's executive team to the streets with more than 20 expertly-orchestrated tours and events. We spearheaded an aggressive customer story program that saw more than 25 case studies in the pipeline at any given time, secured strategically-placed bylined articles, launched the product review and speakers programs, and introduced the much-applauded TECHMarket NewsDigest™.   Curl Corporation was originally conceived and branded as a programming language in 1995 by MIT luminaries, including Tim Berners-Lee. The company found it difficult to gain market mind share when going up against established technologies, such as Java and Microsoft's newly-launched .Net. Management knew their opportunity was in the enterprise. Multiple challenges included re-branding the company as an enterprise software suite provider, not just a programming language, having few customer implementations of the new technology, and the company's two year history filled with employee layoffs, few customer wins and a complete revamp of the management team. In less than five months, TECHMarket Communications conducted two national press tours and more than 70 press and analyst briefings, resulting in 50+ published articles. Working with eWeek in advance of the official news launch, TMC secured an exclusive cover story that gave Curl more real estate on the page than IBM, Sun and Microsoft. • DataDistilleries, a Dutch-based analytical CRM company, entered the US market by storm following 9/11 with a high-impact launch. (Acquired by SPSS in November 2003.)

  TECHMarket Communications was hired to launch DataDistilleries in the U.S. market within 6-8 weeks. DataDistilleries, a predictive, real-time CRM analytical software company, was an unknown company with an unknown product, facing a competitive marketplace. Despite DataDistilleries having no referenceable customers, the ultimate challenge was that the company had scheduled its U.S. press tour for the week following September 11, 2001. Within five days of contract signing, we solidified the company's unique proposition, developed pitches, and began scheduling the first press tour. Despite the sensitivity of scheduling and finalizing all details in the midst of the September 11th tragedies, the four-city national press tour went off without a hitch. Continuing the momentum, within four months TMC published nine press releases; secured more than 120 briefings and four press tours; secured 50 well-placed articles; supported six tradeshows; coordinated two Web seminars; and created multiple PR and marketing documents.
